New Virtual Mental Health Services

FCPS has partnered with Hazel Health to begin offering virtual mental health services to all FCPS high school students. If you have been struggling to connect your child with a therapist, or if you have noticed changes in your child’s behavior, this new service can help. Starting April 10 FCPS will be offering short-term, evidence-based, culturally-response mental health teletherapy for students via any device, Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.Hazel Health provides therapy via video sessions from a student’s home on any computer or smart device. Hazel’s licensed therapists can help your child with:Mood/behavior changes, motivation, grief/loss.Anxiety, worry, fears.Social skills, bullying, sexual identity challenges, peer & family relationships.Academic stress.These services will be provided by locally-licensed clinicians.50% of Hazel providers identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC).40% of Hazel providers are bilingual, speaking over 15 languages.The first step is to provide information through an opt-in form.
