Former Oakton High School standout Caitlin Crump played a key role as her current college team, the Christopher Newport Captains, secured a 74-62 victory over the Gettysburg Bullets on Friday, March 6, in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup, which started at 5:30 p.m., marked the team’s first tournament faceoff with the Gettysburg Bullets and was played at Holekamp Gym.
The Christopher Newport Captains are scheduled to return to Holekamp Gym on Saturday, March 7, at 8 p.m. for their next tournament game.
