Fairfax County, VA – The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) is actively engaging with the community through a series of events. These activities include police district station events, community meetings, and ongoing programs. The aim is to enhance public safety, prevent crime, and foster stronger relationships with local first responders.

The upcoming events for this week are as follows:

On Saturday, July 12, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be a Community Movie Night at Fair Oaks located at 12500 Fair Lakes Circle, Fairfax, VA 22033.

A Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Franconia located at 6100 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044.

For more information about these and other events, residents are encouraged to contact their local police district station and sign up on Nextdoor to see events and other posts shared by the department.

Each district station offers its own newsletter providing updates on local issues, safety tips, community events, and more. Residents can subscribe under Public Safety for their preferred district station.

Additionally, the FCPD is promoting the “Future Women Leaders in Law Enforcement” program from July 28 to August 1. The application deadline has been extended to July 14. This program is open to future women leaders entering grades 10 through 12 during the 2025-2026 school year in the Metro Washington area.

Those interested in joining the FCPD can visit their website for more information about career opportunities. Residents can also register their cameras with Connect Fairfax County to aid in solving crimes and supporting investigations.
