Detectives seek help identifying suspect in Centreville grocery store sexual battery case

Detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department’s Major Crimes Bureau are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a sexual battery incident at a Centreville grocery store.

According to police, officers responded to an incident on July 20 at 6:10 p.m. at a grocery store located in the 14000 block of Saint Germain Drive. The victim reported that a male suspect touched her inappropriately while inside the store. The suspect left before officers arrived.

Investigators have obtained security footage showing the individual believed to be responsible for the assault. Authorities are asking anyone who can identify the man or who may have seen him to contact the Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800, option 3. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Solvers by phone at 1-866-411-TIPS (866-411-8477), online, or via the ‘P3 Tips’ app “Fairfax Co Crime Solvers.” Tipsters who provide information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000. Those wishing for follow-up should leave their contact information.

Victim specialists from the department’s Victim Services Division have been assigned to support and assist the victim with appropriate resources.
