Fairfax County Government has issued several public updates regarding upcoming events, emergency contact protocols, and available support services for residents.

On July 11, 2025, Fairfax County Government encouraged community participation in local commemorations of the nation’s founding, stating: “Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and U.S. Independence with upcoming events in the county”.

Later that day, on July 11, 2025, Fairfax County Government addressed public safety procedures by reminding residents how to report various incidents. The post read: “Behind a drunk driver? Need to report a suspicious person? Alarm going off overnight?

@fairfaxcountypd dispatchers are available, for non-emergency (703-691-2131) and emergency (911)

Social media accounts are not monitored 24/7.”

On July 12, 2025, Fairfax County Government highlighted free counseling and clinical services for individuals affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking or stalking. The statement noted: “We offer free counseling & clinical services to anyone affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking or stalking
