Fairfax County Government recently communicated a variety of announcements through its social media platform. The updates included a new podcast episode featuring a notable discussion, the kick-off of early voting for a Democratic Primary, and an invitation to a community event focused on pet activities.

On May 1, the Fairfax County Government shared details regarding their “Connect with County Leaders” podcast episode in which Matthew D. Chase, CEO and Executive Director of the National Association of Counties (NACo), discusses “the changing relationship between federal, state and local governments and the challenges facing counties across America”. The following day, May 2, Fairfax County announced the commencement of early voting for the Democratic Primary with three voting locations opening on the first day. They added, “An additional 13 locations will open June 7” and specified that “Two contests are on the ballot: lieutenant governor and attorney general.”

Also on May 2, the community was invited to the “Bark N’ Park” event scheduled for May 10 at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park from 1 to 4 p.m. The event promises activities such as browsing local vendors, enjoying live music, exploring a Mobile Mini Thrift, and participating in “fetch fun” for pets.
