Fairfax County Government has shared several community updates and resources in early April 2026 via its official social media channels.

On April 1, the government encouraged residents to participate in a local fitness initiative. In a post dated April 1, 2026, Fairfax County Government stated: “Join the Walk & Win Challenge anytime in April! Walk to earn prizes while helping your district move up the leaderboard. Choose one of our walking loops or create your own route, then upload a photo or screenshot from your app to be entered to win https://t.co/rRrm3CYyzQ https://t.co/VZTPChZ4iX”.

Later that day, the county issued holiday greetings for those observing Passover. The April 1 post read: “Passover begins tonight at sundown. Wishing those who celebrate a happy and meaningful Passover. https://t.co/MQggPYpgbt”.

On April 2, Fairfax County Government highlighted support services for children with special needs. The post on April 2, 2026 noted: “We offer multiple resources to help support the success of children with autism, learning challenges and other special needs. Resources include therapeutic recreation services, sensory rooms and support groups Learn more: https://t.co/AvJC3ANxrD #WorldAutismAwarenessDay https://t.co/Wv21YjUqLj”.
