Fairfax County Government recently took to social media to share updates on community events and public safety alerts. The posts, made in early July 2025, cover a range of topics from local celebrations to essential services for residents.

On July 7, 2025, the Fairfax County Government invited the public to “Celebrate #NationalIceCreamDay with @fairfaxlibrary “. The event is hosted by Burke Centre Library and features science projects, sundaes, and other activities. Interested participants are encouraged to register for the event.

Later that day, another post announced an opportunity for pet owners: ” Get your pet vaccinated and microchipped without the cost of a veterinary exam”. This service will be available at a microchip clinic organized by Fairfax Animals on Wednesday, July 9. More information about the clinic can be accessed through their provided link.

On July 8, 2025, residents were warned about fraudulent activities related to shredding services. The government cautioned against “Fake Shredding Events!” which have been falsely advertised as “Free Shredding Events” at county facilities. These events are not legitimate, and tips on avoiding such scams were shared via a linked resource.
