On June 10, the Fairfax County Government announced that “The Board of Supervisors will meet today beginning at 9:30 a.m.” The tweet provided a link to view the agenda, meeting materials, and instructions on how to watch or listen to the proceedings.

Later in the day, another tweet from the Fairfax County Government highlighted transportation opportunities for students as the school year comes to an end. They reminded residents that “As the school year wraps up in Fairfax County, don’t forget to grab your FREE Student Bus Pass “ This initiative is available for all middle and high school students in Fairfax County and aims to facilitate their mobility during summer.

In a subsequent message, attention was drawn towards supporting vulnerable members of the community during summer months. The county urged its citizens by stating “Over the summer, many students will be without resources provided by schools. Community members are encouraged to help support children and families in need.” The tweet included a link offering six ways individuals can contribute towards preventing child abuse and neglect.
