On June 16, 2025, the Fairfax County Government announced changes to the public transit schedule for Juneteenth. According to their tweet, “#ICYMI @ffxconnector will operate on a Holiday Weekday Service schedule on Juneteenth. Please note that we have adjusted our Holiday Weekday Service to follow a Saturday schedule, with the addition of weekday service on Routes 306, 660, and 662.”

Later that day, at 17:30 UTC, they addressed voter registration options in Fairfax County. The tweet stated: “Not yet registered to vote in Fairfax County? No worries! Use same-day registration to vote a provisional ballot at any early voting site or on 6/17 at the polling place for the precinct where you live.” This announcement aims to facilitate participation in upcoming elections by allowing residents to register and vote provisionally.
