Fairfax County Police arrest suspect linked to multiple indecent exposure cases

Detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau in Fairfax County, Virginia, have arrested a 57-year-old man identified as Arthur Mobley. He is suspected of being involved in multiple indecent exposure incidents dating back to 2015. The arrest followed an anonymous tip that linked Mobley to several cases in Oakton and Chantilly.

The investigation connected Mobley to four separate incidents between 2015 and 2025 at locations on Courthouse Road in Oakton and Stonecroft Boulevard in Chantilly. The charges against him include Obscene Sexual Display and five counts of Indecent Liberties. He is currently held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into Mobley’s potential involvement in other cases. They urge anyone with information or who believes they were a victim to contact the Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800, option 3. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Solvers by phone or via the ‘P3 Tips’ App “Fairfax Co Crime Solvers,” with eligible tipsters receiving cash rewards.

The police department encourages residents to register their cameras with Connect Fairfax County to aid investigations. Updates are available on their blog and social media platforms @FairfaxCountyPD.

In a related case, detectives are seeking community assistance to identify another suspect believed responsible for similar offenses in Chantilly. On March 30, 2025, an unknown man reportedly exposed himself near Stonecroft Blvd. Similar incidents occurred on April 29, 2023, and April 24, 2024, at the same location.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s or 50s with a thin build and light gray hair. Anyone who can identify this individual or has relevant information should contact the Major Crimes Bureau using the provided details.

Victim specialists from the bureau’s Victim Services Division are assisting those affected by these crimes.
