Fairfax County Police Department announces community events for the week of March 21

The Fairfax County Police Department announced on Mar. 19 a series of community events taking place this week across various police districts in Fairfax County, Virginia.

These events aim to strengthen relationships between residents and law enforcement, enhance public safety, and encourage crime prevention through active participation.

Scheduled activities include a Pajama Distribution Event at the Mason District Station on Saturday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., located at 5128 Lincoln Ave B in Alexandria. On Wednesday, March 21 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the West Springfield District will host Stop the Bleed Training at 6509 Sydenstricker Rd in Burke. Later that week, on Wednesday, March 25 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., there will be a Community Advisory Committee Meeting at Reston District Station at 4890 Alliance Dr in Fairfax.

The department also invites community members to sign up for updates via Nextdoor and subscribe to district-specific newsletters under Public Safety for news on local issues and safety tips.

Additional opportunities for engagement include registering home security cameras with Connect Fairfax County to assist with investigations and following FCPD’s social media accounts for real-time updates.
