The department hosts and participates in activities such as police district station events, community meetings, and ongoing programs.

Upcoming events include a 7 Corners Block Party on May 10 from 11 am to 2 pm at Mason District, located at 6131 Willston Drive, Falls Church, VA. On May 12, “Coffee with a Cop” will be held from 9 am to 11 am at Reston Metro Plaza in Reston, VA. The Community Advisory Committee Meeting is scheduled for May 14 from 7 pm to 8 pm at Sully District Station in Chantilly, VA. Additionally, the Sully Neighborhood College event will occur on May 15 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in Herndon, VA.

Residents are encouraged to subscribe to newsletters from their local district stations for updates on local issues and safety tips. FCPD also offers several programs for youth and young adults. These include the Police Leaders of Tomorrow program running June 23-27 for young adults aged 18-24; the Teen Police Academy from July 14-18 for high school students entering grades 10-12; and the Future Women Leaders in Law Enforcement program from July 28-August 1 for female students entering grades 10-12.

For those interested in joining FCPD, recruiting events will be held on May 9 at the Career Works Northern Job Fair in Fairfax, VA, and the Baltimore LEO Hiring Expo in Baltimore, MD.
