The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) is actively engaging with the community through a series of events and programs aimed at enhancing public safety, preventing crime, and fostering relationships between residents and local first responders. This week, several events are scheduled across different police districts.

On Saturday, June 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., a Car Seat Inspection Event will be held at Mason District Station located at 6507 Columbia Pike in Annandale. On Tuesday, June 24, Reston District will host “Pizza with a Cop” from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 2150 Astoria Circle in Herndon, followed by a Neighborhood Watch Presentation from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fair Oaks District Station on Route 50 in Fairfax.

Additional events include a Community Advisory Committee Meeting on Wednesday, June 25, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., also in Reston at Sunrise Valley Drive; and “Breakfast with a Cop” the same day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mason District Station on Little River Turnpike in Alexandria.

A Youth Bullying and Social Media Class is scheduled for Thursday, June 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., taking place in West Springfield at Rolling Road.

FCPD encourages residents to stay informed by subscribing to newsletters specific to their district stations for updates on local issues and community events.

In addition to these activities, FCPD offers programs such as the Teen Police Academy and Future Women Leaders in Law Enforcement for students entering grades ten through twelve during the upcoming school year. The application deadline for both programs is June 25.

Local recruiting events include the Fairfax County Hiring Expo on Friday, June 20, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Pride Night Out on Thursday, June 26, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., both held in Springfield.

Residents are encouraged to register their cameras with Connect Fairfax County as part of efforts to assist law enforcement investigations.
