Detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department are seeking public assistance to identify two suspects involved in a series of commercial burglaries targeting plumbing supply stores and other businesses in Lincolnia and across Fairfax County.

On July 20, officers responded to a report of burglary at a business on the 5600 block of General Washington Drive. Surveillance footage showed two masked men breaking into the store around 2:00 a.m., stealing power tools and cash before leaving. One suspect, identified as Brian Serious, 29, of Maryland, is believed to be responsible for this incident and several previous break-ins at the same location and others throughout the county. He currently has 25 active felony warrants related to these cases.

The police have released a timeline of incidents involving Serious, with burglaries occurring between February 2024 and July 2025 at locations including McLean, Chantilly, Springfield, Annandale, Merrifield, and Lincolnia. The investigation links him to repeated offenses at some addresses.

Detectives are still working to identify Serious’s accomplice seen in surveillance images. They urge anyone with information about either suspect or their whereabouts to contact the Franconia Police Station at 703-922-0889 or submit tips anonymously through Crime Solvers by phone (1-866-411-TIPS) or online. Those providing anonymous tips may be eligible for rewards up to $5,000 if their information leads to an arrest.

The department also encourages residents and business owners to register their security cameras with Connect Fairfax County. This program aims to support investigations by allowing law enforcement access to additional video evidence that could help solve crimes or locate missing persons.
