Fairfax County is focusing on workforce development to assist its over 1.2 million residents in finding better employment opportunities. County Executive Bryan Hill recently discussed these efforts with Daniel Mekibib, the director of Workforce Development Programs.

Mekibib is leading initiatives to connect individuals with careers that have the potential to significantly impact their lives. “Workforce development is a system of care, where we bring together policies, programs and partnerships,” he stated. The aim is not only to create economic opportunities for residents but also to meet the needs of local businesses seeking skilled talent.
