The Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) Office of Talent and Acquisition Management will hold an Operational Career Fair and Networking Event on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The event is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Fairfax County Government Center, located at 12000 Government Center Parkway in Fairfax, Virginia.

This initiative is a collaboration between FCPS and the Fairfax County Government to present job opportunities within the school division’s operational departments. The event aims to connect operational offices with potential candidates for both current and future positions.

Information sessions are planned during the fair: one from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. focusing on how to apply for FCPS operational staff opportunities, and another from 6 to 6:30 p.m. covering special education teaching positions.

A variety of roles will be represented at the fair, including custodians, electrical workers, food services staff, human resources personnel, HVAC technicians, multilingual interpreters (hourly), payroll and accounting professionals, plumbing staff, procurement and finance specialists, and school bus drivers. Organizers note that this list may change as needs evolve.

Those interested in attending must register in advance by October 24, 2025. Registrants will receive a follow-up email with further logistical details about the event.

For individuals seeking employment outside of the career fair or looking for more information about available positions within FCPS operations, new job vacancies are posted every Wednesday afternoon on their official platform. Job seekers can search by specific terms such as “food services” or browse all open positions.

Questions regarding the event or job opportunities can be directed to the FCPS Department of Human Resources through their online web portal or by phone at 571-423-3000.
