The Superintendent’s Boundary Review Advisory Committee for Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) convened at the Gatehouse Administration Center on November 24, 2025. The meeting is part of an ongoing effort to review and potentially adjust school boundaries within the district.
Dr. Michelle C. Reid, FCPS Superintendent, and Erik Gordon, Chief of Facilities Services and Capital Programs, opened the session by expressing appreciation for the committee members’ work on the boundary review process.
During the meeting, a consultant presented an update on progress made so far and outlined the remaining timeline as the process moves into its final stages. Committee members then divided into regional subgroups to discuss suggested changes following Scenario 4 of the review process.
Each region later reported back to share key discussion points and feedback from their subgroup sessions in a question-and-answer format.
Dr. Reid closed the meeting by thanking participants for their continued efforts.
Additional information about the meeting agenda and materials provided to committee members can be found on FCPS’ website. The site also offers details about the comprehensive boundary review and allows community members to sign up for updates through a newsletter.
“Thank you for your time and engagement, and have a joyful Thanksgiving!” said Dr. Michelle C. Reid, Superintendent.
