Fairfax County Public Schools receives national award for financial reporting

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). The recognition is for FCPS’s annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.

According to ASBO, “ASBO’s certificate of excellence in financial reporting confirms the school division’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency and recognizes that FCPS has met or exceeded the program’s high standards for financial reporting and accountability. The district report meets the criteria established for ASBO International’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting.”
