Falls Church City Public Schools will temporarily relocate a bus stop on Hillwood Avenue for the week of August 25 to August 29, 2025. The change is due to construction work by the Department of Public Works on Hillwood Avenue.

The current bus stop at Hillwood Ave & Brook Dr will move to Hillwood Ave & Cleave Dr during this period. The district said that pickup and drop-off times will remain the same, but only the location will change. The temporary stop is about two blocks from the regular location, and families are encouraged to allow a few extra minutes for walking.

Bus service is expected to return to its normal schedule and location on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

Questions about this temporary adjustment can be directed to the Transportation Department at fccpstransportation@fccps.org or through each school’s main office.

“We appreciate your flexibility as the City completes this important infrastructure work. Student safety remains our top priority during this temporary adjustment,” Falls Church City Public Schools stated.
