The Falls Church City Public Schools (FCCPS) School Board has named Ms. Alicia Prince as the district’s new Chief Operating Officer, with her appointment taking effect on September 22, 2025. The decision was made unanimously by the board.

Superintendent Dr. Terry Dade stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Prince to our FCCPS family. Her exceptional experience in educational operations, combined with her collaborative leadership style, makes her the ideal partner to help us continue meeting student needs through unsurpassed collaboration.”

Ms. Prince will replace Kristen Michael in this role. She previously served as both Chief of Staff and Interim Chief Operating Officer in large and diverse school districts. Her academic background includes a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the Broad Center, a Juris Doctor with Honors from Villanova University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Hampton University.

During the selection process, Ms. Prince demonstrated skills in systems management, stakeholder communication, financial leadership, and data-driven decision making—qualities that align with FCCPS’s focus on collaboration and excellence.

Dr. Dade added, “Ms. Prince’s experience leading cross-functional teams will strengthen our ability to work together effectively while maintaining our focus on what matters most – providing exceptional educational opportunities for every student.”

Ms. Prince is set to begin her duties later this month, with transition activities scheduled to support her integration into the district’s leadership team.
