Craig Aurentz, a bus driver for Oak Hill Elementary School’s bus #3, has been recognized for his positive and friendly demeanor. An Oak Hill ES parent described him as having “the entire bus sing happy birthday to anyone who has a birthday on the bus,” noting that he attends school events to support students. Mr. Craig transitioned to being a bus driver after retiring from business and expressed a wish that he had pursued teaching.

Jim Bailey from the Sideburn Support Center is acknowledged for his problem-solving skills with HVAC systems. John Lord praised Jim as “a second set of eyes” who collaborates closely with various technicians and engineers to resolve issues, often working at all hours to improve the environment for teaching and learning.

Lan Tran of the Gatehouse Admin Center received appreciation for her efforts during HR staffing transitions. An anonymous colleague highlighted Ms. Tran’s proactive approach in managing staffing decisions, stating she “went above and beyond” during challenging times.

Sue Kalbaugh, also from the Gatehouse Admin Center, was commended by Debbie Richards of Bryant HS for her expertise in FCPS financial systems. Sue’s ability to address financial discrepancies and provide clear explanations was noted as invaluable.

Cindy Fitzgerald, another member of the Gatehouse Admin Center team, was recognized by Erin Wallace from Willow Oaks Admin Center for her professionalism in handling complex HR questions with patience and knowledge.
