This summer, the FCPS Office of Intervention and Prevention Services will provide free virtual Mental Wellness Consultations. These consultations will be available from June 23, 2025, through August 1, 2025. Both FCPS parents and secondary students can schedule a free 45-minute consultation with a school psychologist or social worker via phone or videoconference.

Consultations are offered in two formats:

– For parents of students at any grade level: This allows parents to receive guidance on supporting their child’s social, emotional, and academic success. Information about community resources will also be provided.

– For middle or high school students: Students can receive guidance for concerns related to anxiety, mood, behavior, peer or family interactions, or school transitions. Strategies for addressing academic challenges such as organization and time management will also be offered.

Families are encouraged to utilize this service. To request a consultation, families can fill out a request form in their preferred language or leave a message at 703-503-2520. They will be contacted at the start of the requested session to schedule an appointment.
