Twenty-six Fairfax County Public Schools students earned first place honors at the 2026 Virginia Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference, which was held recently in Reston. More than 90 FCPS students placed in the top four of their events and qualified to compete in the FBLA National Leadership Conference scheduled for June in San Antonio.
The results highlight strong participation and achievement among local high school students in a range of business-related competitions. The conference featured 196 FCPS participants competing across 72 events, including areas such as 3-D Animation, Accounting, Cyber Security, Computer Problem Solving, and Public Speaking.
Sienna Wade from Robinson Secondary School received the Marguerite Crumley Scholarship, while Manas Puri from Lake Braddock Secondary School was awarded the Frank Manning Peele Scholarship. Both recognitions underscore individual student accomplishments beyond competitive event placements.
FBLA is described as the largest career and technical student organization globally. Each year it helps over 200,000 members prepare for careers in business through leadership conferences and competitions.
A full list of winners includes students from Centreville High School, Chantilly High School, Edison High School, Falls Church High School, Marshall High School, Hayfield Secondary High School, Lake Braddock Secondary School, McLean High School, Oakton High School, Robinson Secondary School, South Lakes High School, Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST), and Westfield High School.
