Ferrum Panthers, featuring former South Lakes High School standout Campbell Short, earned a 9-8 victory in their NCAA Division III baseball matchup with the Barton Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
The matchup was held at Panther Field and marked the third time these teams met this season. The last meeting was also on Saturday, March 14, when the Panthers posted a 12-3 win over the Bulldogs.
Short pitched two innings in relief, giving up two earned runs and striking out one batter.
The Panthers are next scheduled to host the Shorter Hawks at Panther Field on Friday, March 20, at 3 p.m.
