Former Herndon High School standout Mackenzie Swanson played on Tuesday, June 3 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division III Softball Championship

On Tuesday, June 3, former Herndon High School standout Mackenzie Swanson’s current collegiate team the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins lost 1-8 against the Trine Thunder in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The game took place at Inspiration Field at 11 a.m. and was the first matchup against the Trine Thunder in the tournament.

The Virginia Wesleyan Marlins’ next game will take place on Thursday, June 5 at 11 a.m. at Inspiration Field.
