All students entering public school in Virginia for the first time must undergo a Virginia School Entry Physical and submit a completed school health entry form. In support of this requirement, Falls Church City Public Schools (FCCPS) is collaborating with the Fairfax County Health Department and Kaiser Permanente to provide free physical examinations to new students.

The physicals will be conducted by licensed healthcare providers from both the Fairfax County Health Department and Kaiser Permanente. During these examinations, the required school health entry form will be completed by the attending healthcare provider for use during school registration.

While immunization shots and tuberculosis screenings are not part of this event, families will receive assistance in arranging appointments for these services as needed.

The initiative is available to all families within Falls Church City Public Schools. Interested participants can register for an appointment online.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School.
