On Friday, March 6, Jessica Dornak, a former South Lakes High School standout, saw her current team — the Christopher Newport Captains — secure a 74-62 victory against the Gettysburg Bullets in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup tipped off at 5:30 p.m. at Holekamp Gym and marked the first meeting against Gettysburg in the tournament.
The Captains will face their next opponent at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 7, again at Holekamp Gym.
