Juvenile charged after non-fatal stabbing in Reston on March 27

A juvenile has been charged in connection with a non-fatal stabbing that occurred in Reston on March 27, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. Officers responded at approximately 2:04 p.m. to the 11100 block of South Lakes Drive following reports of a fight involving a large group of teenagers.

Police said that when officers arrived, they found a juvenile victim with a stab wound to the lower body. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for injuries described as not life-threatening.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division took over the case and determined that several juveniles were involved in an altercation during which one suspect produced a knife and stabbed another juvenile. The suspect was identified and taken into custody later that day.

The accused juvenile has been charged with malicious wounding and is currently held at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact the Reston Police Station or submit tips anonymously through Crime Solvers by phone or online. Victim specialists from the Major Crimes Bureau’s Victim Services Division have been assigned to support those affected by the incident.

The police encourage residents to register their security cameras with Connect Fairfax County to assist investigations and remind community members they can follow updates through official department social media channels.
