Man arrested for inappropriate touching near Hutchison

Detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau have apprehended an 80-year-old man following an incident near Hutchison. The arrest was made after a victim reported being inappropriately touched while walking near the 13300 block of Hungerford Place.

The incident occurred on May 12 at approximately 8:40 a.m. when the victim was approached by a man who then grabbed and inappropriately touched her. The victim managed to escape, prompting the suspect to flee. Detectives took over the investigation immediately.

Through their efforts, detectives, along with patrol officers, identified the suspect as Ramon Herrera, 80, from Herndon. Herrera was subsequently arrested and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. He faces charges of Abduction with Intent to Defile and Penetration of the Mouth of a Child with Lascivious Intent and is currently held without bond.

Victim specialists have been assigned to provide necessary resources and support to the victim through the Victim Services Division.
