Detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department’s Major Crimes Bureau have arrested a Clifton man on charges of taking indecent liberties with children.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a sex offense in the 13000 block of Laurel Rock Drive in Clifton at 12:45 a.m. on July 5. The complainant told authorities that two juvenile victims were walking when they were approached by a suspect who solicited sexual acts. Police said the girls were not injured and detectives from the Sex Crimes Unit took over the investigation.

Through their investigation, detectives identified Ibrahim Mansaray, 22, of Clifton as the suspect. They allege that Mansaray pursued the two girls on foot and propositioned them for sexual acts.

Mansaray has been charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with children and is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Victim specialists from the Major Crimes Bureau’s Victim Services Division have been assigned to provide resources and assistance to the victims.
