Pimmit Hills property tax rates fall below US average in early 2026

Pimmit Hills homeowners paid property taxes equal to 0.6% of their home’s value in the first quarter of 2026, according to BlockShopper.com, a rate that represents just 0.7 times the national average.

Data from the 14 properties sold in the first quarter of 2026 show Pimmit Hills had a median home price of $1,487,500. The median property tax bill was $9,010 for the city that year, equating to 0.6% of the typical home value taxed.

The average effective property tax rate nationally stood at 0.888% for 2024.

Within Fairfax County, the highest property tax rates were reported in Idylwood, Woodburn and Fair Lakes.

The median home price nationwide continued rising in 2025, reaching roughly $447,000 in June—an increase of 1.13% compared with the same period a year before, according to Redfin.
