Roanoke Maroons secure 19-12 NCAA Division III baseball victory with Kyle Tyrrell contributing

Former Madison High School standout Kyle Tyrrell helped lead the Roanoke Maroons to a 19-12 victory over the NC Wesleyan Battling Bishops in their NCAA Division III baseball game on Wednesday, March 18, at 4 p.m.

Bauer Field served as the venue for the teams’ second meeting of the season. The Maroons had previously lost their matchup with the Battling Bishops, falling 6-4 on Tuesday, March 3.

Tyrrell went three-for-four at the plate with two runs, four RBIs, one walk, and one strikeout.

The Maroons will play their next game Saturday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at Salem Memorial Ballpark against Eastern Mennonite Royals.
