Town Of Vienna issued the following announcement on May. 27.
Yesterday, Town Council approved the FY 2021-22 budget adopting a $43.2 million balanced budget for the Town’s four operating funds.
The budget shows a slow return to pre-COVID operational levels showing optimism for an improved economy given the impacts of the health crisis. The budget includes a decrease in the real estate tax rate, an increase in the water and sewer rates to cover costs and invest in the Town’s sewer infrastructure and provides additional resources for the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Economic Development Division.
The Town also anticipates receiving funds from the American Rescue Plan to support operations and projects impacted by Covid-19. However, the funding amount is still TBD and not included in the approved FY2021-22 budget.
