Fairfax County Professional Firefighters & Paramedics issued the following announcement on July 17
The Fairfax County Professional Firefighters and Paramedics, IAFF Local 2068, stand and support the many firefighters, police officers, public employees and residents of the greater Fredericksburg area in calling for Mary Washington Healthcare and Cigna to return to negotiations and get a new contract signed. Their lack of willingness to engage in meaningful dialogue is impacting the delivery of healthcare to thousands of families. Approximately 15,000 residents in the Fredericksburg, VA are being affected by this dispute.
Fairfax County Professional Fire Firefighters & Paramedics - IAFF Local 2068 Executive Board Director Ryan McGill has been working directly with Cigna and Mary Washington Health Alliance to encourage them to come to an agreement.
Virginia Professional Fire Fighters is sponsoring a rally on Saturday, August 7, 2021 on Mary Washington Blvd between Hospital Drive and Sam Perry Blvd from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Please come out and show your support.
