Town of Herdon Reinstates Masking Requirement in Public Buildings

30

Town of Herndon issued the following announcement on Aug. 13

Effective Wednesday, August 11, all members of the public over age two are required to wear masks indoors in town facilities. This includes the Herndon Municipal Center, Herndon Community Center, Herndon Town Hall, Herndon Centennial Golf Course, Herndon Public Works Complex and Herndon Police Department.

The mask requirement, which had been lifted earlier in the summer, comes as the Delta variant of the Coronavirus appears to be a highly-transmissible cause of COVID-19, the disease resulting from the virus. Masks are required for all visitors to town facilities, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are also required for attendees at public meetings, including public hearings of the Herndon Town Council, boards and commissions.
