Town of Vienna issued the following announcement on Aug. 10
For every recounted pandemic-related hardship in the Town of Vienna over the past two years, there is usually a selfless volunteer effort to help a neighbor. Nominations are now being accepted for volunteers who are worthy of recognition as Vienna Hometown Heroes. Since last year’s event had to be cancelled for pandemic-related reasons, this year’s celebration will recognize individual and group volunteer efforts for 2020 and 2021.
Mayor Linda Colbert and former Mayor Laurie DiRocco will co-host the 2021 Mayor’s Volunteer Reception at 7:30 pm Tuesday, Sept. 21, at the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department. Show your appreciation for the Town of Vienna’s hometown heroes by nominating one or more individuals or groups to be recognized.
Nominations for individual heroes are due Aug. 31. Complete the nomination form at viennava.gov/volunteers and submit it via email to mclark@viennava.gov or drop it off at Town Hall.
