Terry Schilling, president of the American Principles Project and concerned area resident, is expressing his discontent after Fairfax County Public Schools has removed two LGBT books from its library that depict graphic illustrated sex scenes.

The school system removed the titles from circulation after concurred community members condemned the reading material in a Sept. 23 school board meeting.

Speakers at the meeting said the books described pedophilia. One speaker was muted when she began to read such a passage, WDVM-TV reported.

Others are continuing the protests.

The books included illustrations depicting sex scenes.

"There is zero legitimate reason why books with graphic depictions of sexual activities, including between adults and children, should be available in a school library. None whatsoever! And it is outrageous that such books were approved by Fairfax County and only removed after a concerned parent discovered them and had the courage to read aloud from them at a school board meeting,” Schilling told North Fairfax News.

The “two books — Gender Queer: A Memoir" by Maia Kobabe and "Lawn Boy" by Jonathan Evison — were removed from circulation for review after the complaints.

The school system said the books will be assessed by a yet-to-be-announced committee, which will then make a recommendation to the library on whether the books should remain or be permanently removed from the school system collection.

"Parents across the rest of the country should also be on notice. If you haven't already, thoroughly investigate your own school district's library to see if such books are in circulation. And if they are, make sure the school board and school administrators hear about it. We must fight back against this vile agenda,” Terry said.

Terry said he is disheartened by the activism already being shown on the school board.

"Yet even then, one FCPS school board member, Karl Frisch, responded by tweeting that ‘nothing will disrupt our Board's commitment to LGBTQIA+ students, families and staff.’ I have a message for Mr. Frisch: school board members work for us, the parents, and we will absolutely disrupt your work if it means protecting our kids from your repugnant sexual propaganda,” Terry said.

Other instances of leftism being inserted into curricula have popped up in the area as well.

In nearby Loudoun County Public Schools last year the schools threatened to punish teachers who criticize Critical Race Theory.

That same school district paid more than $422,000 to conduct “white privilege” training in schools.

"It's truly sickening what the woke Left has done to our schools. It's bad enough that kids are being divided against one another based on race through the teaching of critical race theory, as has been exposed in so many places nationwide. But now, we are finding more and more sordid evidence that public schools are sexualizing our kids as well,” Terry said.
