MOUNT VERNON DISTRICT STATION 

SHOOTING: 2900 block of Furman Lane, 5/20/22, 9:39 p.m. A man tried to engage the victim in conversation as she entered her apartment building but she ignored him. The man displayed a handgun, shot the victim in the lower body, and ran away. The victim was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening. 

CARJACKING WITH APPREHENSION: 3300 block of Southgate Drive, 5/21/22, 7:45 a.m. A man displayed a handgun and stole the victim’s 2020 Toyota Camry. The victim was not injured, and the man drove away. As officers responded, the vehicle was captured on a License Plate Reader entering Maryland. Officers remained in the area until the stolen Camry reentered the County an hour later. Officers found the car and a pursuit ensued. The suspect struck the jersey wall, and the vehicle became disabled on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. The suspect was taken into custody and the handgun was recovered on the suspect. He was charged with carjacking and additional felonies. No crashes related to the pursuit were reported.

BANK ROBBERY: 6300 Richmond Highway (Wells Fargo Bank), 5/25/22, 4:43 p.m. A man entered the bank, presented a note to the teller implying he had a weapon and demanded money. The man left the area on foot. No injuries were reported. Officers quickly found the man walking nearby on Richmond Highway. He was arrested and charged with robbery.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 8734 Richmond Highway (Dollar Store), 5/20/22, 12:28 p.m. A man entered the store, displayed a firearm, and took merchandise. He left the store and got into a black sedan that was being driven by another man and drove away. No injuries were reported.

MCLEAN DISTRICT STATION 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 2815 Merrilee Drive (Home Depot), 5/24/22, 11:36 a.m. A man took merchandise without paying. When confronted by store employees, he displayed a knife and left the store. No injuries were reported. 

MASON DISTRICT STATION 

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY: 6545 Little River Turnpike (7-Eleven), 5/20/22, 1:35 p.m. Two men entered the business, implied they had a firearm, and took merchandise. No injuries reported.

ROBBERY: 7400 block of Add Drive, 5/20/22, 7:55 p.m. A man approached the victim, displayed a knife, and took property. No injuries were reported. 

ATTEMPTED COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 8303 Arlington Blvd (Arlington-Fairfax Clinic), 5/21/22, 12:09 a.m. Someone attempted to enter the business but was confronted by an employee and ran away. No property was taken.

ROBBERY: 6000 block of Bellview Drive, 5/22/22 1:41 p.m. A 38-year-old man approached the victim and took property with force. Officers located the man nearby and charged him with robbery. 

ROBBERY: 6000 block of Bellview Drive, 5/23/22, 2:50 p.m. A man and woman approached the victim, implied a handgun, and took property. No injuries were reported.

RESTON DISTRICT STATION 

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: 12200 block of Laurel Glade Drive, 5/23/22, 7:07 p.m. Three juveniles chased the victim, displayed a handgun, and attempted to take property. The juveniles are known to the victim. This does not appear to be a random act.

ROBBERY: 2100 block of Fullerton Road, 5/23/22, 10 p.m. Two men and a woman approached the victim, displayed a handgun, and took property. No injuries were reported.

ROBBERY: Freetown Court and Glade Drive, 5/25/22, 2:47 p.m. Two juveniles assaulted the victims, implied they had a knife, and took property. The juveniles are known to the victims. No injuries were reported.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION 

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 6701 Loisdale Road, (Smoke Town), 5/26/22, 2:04 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business and took property.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 7200 block of Fullerton Road, 5/23/22, 8:44 p.m. A man approached the victim, assaulted him, and took property. No injuries were reported.

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 3975 Fair Ridge Drive (PEG LLC), 5/23/22, 7:49 a.m. Someone forced entry into the business, took and damaged property.
