On June 24, 2022 at 2:58 a.m. the police department responded to the 9800 block of Bolton Village Court, Fairfax VA in regards to a shooting that had just occurred. The responding officers made entry into the residence and found a male who had been shot with a firearm. The victim, later identified as Mr. Gret Glyer (a 32-year-old male) who resided at the residence, had succumbed to his injuries. The City of Fairfax Police Department is now working this case as a homicide.

The City of Fairfax Police Department would like to offer our condolences to the family of Mr. Gret Glyer.

At this time, we have no reason to believe that there is a wider threat to the community. The City of Fairfax Police Department is fully committed to investigating this case thoroughly and we look forward to speaking to anyone who has any knowledge or information about this case.  We want to encourage the public to call the police department if you see or hear anything suspicious (703-385-7924). We value our relationship with the community and we look forward to speaking with anyone who has any information about this or any other matter.
