Thirty-nine students from 18 Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) high schools and two elementary schools have been selected to participate in the 2025 All-Virginia Orff Ensemble, the 2025 All-Virginia Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble, and the 2025 Virginia Music Education Association Senior Honors Choir. These students will join peers from across Virginia for rehearsals and performances in Norfolk between November 18 and November 22.

The selection process involved a rigorous audition that drew participants from throughout the state. The chosen students will rehearse under nationally recognized conductors and collaborate with other musicians during the event.

Concerts are scheduled in Norfolk, with performances by the All-Virginia Orff Ensemble and All-Virginia Jazz Band and Jazz Ensemble on Thursday, November 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by the Senior Honors Choir concert on Saturday, November 22, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The concerts are open to the public at no charge.

For more details about these events, information is available through the VMEA Conference 2025.

“Additional students may be called in to participate next week that are not listed and will be added by the Virginia Music Educators Association. Alternates are not listed in the above list,” according to event organizers.
