On July 9, Fairfax County Government warned residents about potential adverse weather conditions in the area. “Bad weather may impact our area again this afternoon and evening, July 9.” The National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 p.m. and a Flood Watch until midnight.
Later that day, Fairfax County extended an invitation to the public for the Smaller Lake Accotink Preservation Feasibility Study Open House. “Fairfax County invites you to the Smaller Lake Accotink Preservation Feasibility Study Open House!” This event is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Kings Glen Elementary School Cafeteria in Springfield, Virginia.
On July 10, another tweet highlighted training opportunities provided by REVIVE! on handling opioid overdose emergencies. “REVIVE! trains you on what to do in an #opioid overdose emergency.” The training includes administering naloxone and post-overdose procedures with virtual classes available on July 17, July 21, and July 26.
